I didn’t have an advantageous situation at Talladega last week, hopefully things will work out better today at Charlotte. I am able to go as a couple of things panned out for me last minute. I hope to capitalize and get good shots. I’ve never sat in the section I am sitting in and I am probably not high enough to avoid the fence, but I am probably going to be able to move around.
Probably my favorite speedway photo is this one I took at Bristol in March 2011. The weather was gloomy, but I shot away anyway and I got this shot which really captures how small Bristol really is.
It doesn’t do any of the cars justice, but you can see the flagman handing the white to the official as he is dropping the checkered flag. It takes stock cars 14-15 seconds to get around Bristol and the flagman doesn’t get a break like he will at Charlotte tonight or at Talladega last week.
I hope everyone is having an eventful weekend.
